The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has registered the Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO), which was created in compliance with the Companies Ordinance of 1984. Electricity supply and distribution are both permitted activities for LESCO. Right now, LESCO provides power to more than 5.9 million people who live in certain regions including the districts of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, and Nankana.

For graduate students in their last year, LESCO is providing paid internship opportunities for 02 months in the following areas to improve their skills, job chances, and financial assistance.
Operations and Technical Directorate
- Education/Qualification Required : Final Year in BSc Engineering, MSc (Elec) or equivalent.
- No of Internees : 60
Finance Directorate
- Required Qualification : Final Year MBA (Finance), BSc (Hons), M.Com or equivalent
- No of Internees : 10
Human Resources / Admn Directorate
- Required Qualification : Final Year MBA, MPA (HRM), BSc (Hons) or equivalent
- No of Internees : 10
Information Technology Department
- Required Qualification : Final Year MS (IT), MBIT, MCS, BSc (Hons) or equivalent
- No of Internees : 10
Customer Services
- Education/Qualification Required : Final Year MBA (In Marketing) BS (Hons) or equivalent
- No of Internees : 10
Eligibility Criteria
- For this internship programme, only universities and colleges that have been approved by HEC may apply.
- Final-year BSc. Engineering and Master’s degree students will be given consideration for internships.
- Candidates with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) (or equivalent) from the semesters or academic years immediately before the application deadline for the internship can apply.
Selection Criteria
Final selection will be based on aggregate marks of students which will be calculated as mentioned below:-
For Masters or Equivalent (16-years of education)
- Percentage marks obtained in matric @ 05%
- Percentage marks obtained in intermediate or equivalent @ 15%
- Percentage marks obtained in BA/BSc or Equivalent @ 30%
- Percentage marks obtained in MA/MSc or equivalent @ 50%
- Percentage marks obtained in matric @ 05%
- Percentage marks obtained in intermediate or equivalent @ 25%
- Percentage marks obtained in BA/BSc (Engg or Equivalent) @ 70%
How to Apply for LESCO Jobs Openings:-
- The student will visit the LESCO official website at www.lesco.gov.pk/jobs and then they have to click on the Apply Online button to apply for Internship. Then they will register and click Login.
- After completing all required fields and pressing the “Save” button, the student will receive a Tracking ID and be able to download the Declaration form.
- The student must send the completed Declaration Form, which is accessible on the LESCO website, along with any necessary supporting documentation, a tracking ID, and the head of the institute’s duly signed and stamped signature to the HR Department of LESCO at 22/A Queens Road in Lahore. Documents Include : University Recommendation Letter from Head of Department, Attested copy of Matric Degree / Result Card, Attested copy of Intermediate Degree / Result Card, Attested copy of Result Card of Last Semester of Bachelor / Master, Attested copy of Bachelor Degree / Result Card (in case of Student is applying on the basis of relevant Master Degree) and Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Requests must specify the precise dates of the student’s availability, their academic background, their area of interest with LESCO, the skills and experience they hope to acquire or develop during the internship, and how this programme fits into their academic objectives in a personal statement.
- No application will be accepted / entertained with incomplete documents, applicants have to submit application completely.
- Requests must contain a personal statement that describes how this programme fits into the student’s academic aspirations, as well as specific dates of availability, academic details, a list of LESCO areas of interest, and a list of the skills and experience the student hopes to obtain or enhance during the internship.
- No application will be accepted or considered if the required documents are missing or are submitted after the due date has passed.
- Only those candidates who have been shortlisted or chosen for the internship (based on merit of qualification) will be contacted.
- Without giving a reason, LESCO reserves the right to refuse or cancel an applicant’s internship.
- During the internship, candidates will not be granted any TA, DA, or transportation benefits.
- After interns submit their internship reports, an internship certificate will be given out.
